Private training in written English is offered live online via Zoom and in person in great classrooms in the heart of Amsterdam, Den Haag and Amstelveen.
In-person training in Amsterdam takes place in the beautiful, artistic Museum Quarter close to the Vondelpark and Van Gogh Museum, and at 2 historic canal houses, just minutes from Amsterdam Centraal Station, plus at the Ijsbaanpad (close to the A10 and Amstelveenseweg).
The hours you buy are yours, and you can use those hours for support in composing, editing and refinement of your work.
One-to-one English Writing courses are typically 10 or 20 hours. You can take just one lesson per week, or more. These courses usually take about 2 months to complete. Many clients renew their learning package to continue improving and performing better in their written English communication.
A PDF certificate of successful completion can be requested for any course. All certificates carry the CEDEO logo to show that we are approved providers of customized English training.
That depends on you and your goals plus your strengths and weaknesses. Some clients focus on a range of English writing skills, while others want a laser focus on just one assignment. Many course participants need help with sentence structure, punctuation, the use of passive versus active voice and sentence structure in terms of phrase placement. In any case, the training will be very practical and hands-on and will use your texts as the core of the lessons!

Some clients use a book or books, and some do not. Some clients use digital materials. This is customized training, so every client is evaluated and coached on an individual basis. You are unique and so is your course.
It’s essential that you bring your tasks and docs to the training sessions. We will work with your real, day to day assignments and longer term projects.
As you know, American English (AE) and British English (BE) have a lot in common, but they certainly have some differences – in spelling, punctuation, capitalization and idiom. We will ask you to choose AE or BE so that your writing is internally consistent.
We can generally start a private course within 7 days. Private courses are offered year round.
Yes. All English Center trainers are native speakers and members of our Amsterdam-based team. They come from the US, the UK, Ireland and Australia. They are qualified, well-educated professionals who will identify your errors, explain the underlying lexical structures, and get you writing more correctly from the first meeting.
Many of our clients are Dutch, and we are very in tune with the biggest challenges for Dutch writers working in English. We love helping them sort out our two languages that have so much in common but are so different in sentence structure and punctuation.
Where appropriate (not for students), we can heavily edit or ghost write your texts.
We offer morning through evening hours, Central European Time (CET), Monday through Friday. Weekends are sometimes available by request.
