2. Education: Dutch and expat high school students often need help completing difficult assignments and passing tough exams, especially the famously challenging “eindexamen.”
3. Higher education: English is the language of higher education in many countries. In the Netherlands, where The English Center is located, many university courses are delivered in English. That means that expat entry often requires an English test such as the IELTS, Plus both students and faculty/staff have to perform well in English. Professors may be experts in their own fields and read well in English, but need better spoken English to communicate well with students.
